About the Program:

The KWG is committed to supporting scholars-at-risk who face challenges in pursuing their research and academic endeavors. Our Scholars-at-Risk Program aims to provide financial assistance to scholars who find themselves in difficult circumstances, enabling them to continue their academic pursuits, participate in conferences, and engage with the scholarly community.

Funding Support:

Through the KWG Scholars-at-Risk Program, eligible scholars may apply for financial assistance up to 1000 Euros per person. This support can be utilized for a variety of purposes that enhance their academic and professional development, including but not limited to:

• Conference Attendance (1): Covering travel, registration, and accommodation expenses for scholars to participate in academic conferences, workshops, and seminars. 
• Research Materials (2): Funding for research materials, books, subscriptions, and access to databases and archives.
• Publication Costs (3): Assistance for scholars to publish their research findings in reputable journals and publications.
• Language Courses (4): Support for language courses to improve communication and research skills.
• Professional Development (5): Funding for training and workshops that enhance scholars‘ research methodologies and academic skills.
• Travel Grants (6): Assistance for travel related to research projects, collaborations, or academic activities.

How to Apply:

Scholars interested in applying for support through the KWG Scholars-at-Risk Program are invited to submit der applications (5-8) pages, outlining their specific needs (1-6), describing their proposed project, include the estimated budget, and state how the funding will contribute to their academic development. Please submit your documents via email with the subject „Scholars at Risk“ to the KWG Office.
